Bruce Vanlandingham Obituary

 

 

 

 

Bruce Vanlandingham,  born December 29, 1951, of Yulee passed away Sunday afternoon, September 26, 2021 at the Community Hospice Warner Center in Fernandina Beach. 

He was born in Jacksonville, FL and graduated from Andrew Jackson High School. After high school he joined the Army Reserves. 

He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather. His favorite thing was spending time with his family. In his younger years he built and raced cars, and was an artillery enthusiast and enjoyed competing in local amateur competitions. He loved his country and God. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Wilber Vanlandingham; mother, Edna Mathis; brother Wayne Vanlandingham and a sister, Gail Toohey.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Vanlandingham; sons, Kevin Vanlandingham, Chad Vanlandingham, and Brian Haire, and a daughter, Amy Chick (Ben); and eight grandchildren, Lee and Brycen Chick; Justin, Brianne and Brian Haire; and Griffin, Soren and Scarlett Vanlandingham.  

There will be a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 2, in the Stephens Chapel at Green Pine Funeral Home.
