Brenda Smith

Brenda Smith, 77, of Yulee passed away Friday, November 11, 2022 at the Community Hospice Warner Center in Fernandina Beach.

She was born October 13, 1945, in Newbury Port, MA, the daughter of Chi Chia Frank and Norma Jean Salvatore, and had nine brothers and sisters. She moved to Jacksonville, Fl  from Newbury Port, MA when she was 9 years old, and was of the Baptist Faith.

She met her husband, Alton while he was station at NAS Jax. They married shortly

thereafter.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Alton O. Smith; three sons, Michael W. Smith (Sonya), Troy A. Smith (Denise) and William “Rick” Smith (Marian Haftel); one daughter, Michelle Smith (Andrew Hurrion); eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; and her two Labrador Retrievers, Brandy and Bailey.

She was a devoted wife and mother.  Her life revolved around her family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, in the chapel of Green Pine Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Camarrotti officiating.  Interment will follow in Green Pine Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
