Bonnie Kirkwood

Bonnie Lee Kirkwood 81, of Suwannee County, Florida, formally of Callahan, Florida, passed away Thursday December 22, 2022. She was born in Columbus, Ohio to the late Edgar and Frances McElhinny.

She married the love of her life, the late William Kirkwood in 1958. She was a devoted mother and wife and was always there for her nine children and husband. She enjoyed gardening and doing work around the yard. She also enjoyed cooking and coming up with new ways to prepare food.

She leaves behind nine children, Wanda (Karl) Simmons, Richard (deceased) (Patricia) Kirkwood, Keith Kirkwood, Cheryl (Milton) Hays, Robert (Amanda) Kirkwood, Steven Kirkwood, John (Melody) Kirkwood, Rebecca (Ray) Holloway, and David (Breann) Kirkwood; 21 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, in the Stephens Chapel at Green Pine funeral Home.  Interment will follow in Green Pine Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
