Betty Garner Lawrence was born on January 5, 1933 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. On March 31, 1950 she married Travis Lawrence . They remained together for 75 years until his passing on October 2, 2025. Together they had 6 girls and 1 boy. October 1, 1973 she went to work for Saint Luke’s hospital and retired from Mayo on December 31, 1994.
Betty dedicated her life to loving and supporting her family and friends . Her legacy to all that knew her will be her kindness, acceptance for all, love for God, and family. She always put others before herself, and would do without to give to others. Never judging or having an unkind words to say about anyone. She made everyone feel special, welcomed and loved.
She is survived by her daughters, June Taylor (Ernie), Debbie Claxton (Ray), Sandy Bartchlett (Tommy), Donna Lawrence, and her son Wayne Lawrence (Cindy). Also 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren.
Proceeded in death by her daughters Cynthia Lawrence and Janice Wheeldon (Carlton), grandson Shane and great grandson Blake.
Services will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Green Pine Funeral Home 96281 Green Pine Road, Yulee, Florida.
