Barbara Lofton Dahlgren

Barbara Dahlgren passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday morning May 18th, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

Barbara Dahlgren was born November 17th, 1938 in The Dalles, Oregon and moved to Fernandina Beach over 35 years ago.

 She was a member at First Presbyterian Church of Fernandina Beach.

She was a 1957 graduate from Tillamook High School in Tillamook, OR.

She then went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in education from  Oregon College of Education in Monmouth, Oregon in 1961.

She enjoyed quilting, sewing, crafting and cooking and was also a loving wife and mother.

 She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years Charles E Dahlgren, and her son Jeff Charles Dahlgren. As well as her mother Maude Hill and father Dewey Lofton.

Her survivors include her daughters Kristin Dahlgren of Taylors, South Carolina and Kirstin Dahlgren Zino (Dylan) of Middleburg, Florida.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, May 30th at Jacksonville National Cemetery.  Those attending should assemble at the cemetery in lane number 3.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial donations be made to Community Hospice and Palliative Care.
