Alma Deen Fournier, 92, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2026. She was born in Alma, Georgia, but spent most of her life in Florida. She retired in 1984 from AT&T as a plant assigner in the network department. She was a member of Callahan First Baptist Church.

Alma “Deen” was predeceased by her daughter Nancy Phillips, her parents, Jay Z.  and Thelma Fussell, Sr., sister Katie Davidson and brothers Aubrey Fussell, Jarman Fussell, Jay Z. Fussell, Jr., and Seward Fussell. She was also predeceased by a stepdaughter Terry Stevens, and a stepson, Tommy Fournier.

Survivors include her husband, Herbert H. Fournier, a son, Gary Jeter, sisters Wanda Minter (Buddy) and Janet Paul (Ron), brothers, Roy Fussell, and Windle Fussell (Shelia), stepdaughter Beth Holloway (Ray), and stepson Herbert Fournier, Jr.

She is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and extended family members.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 6, 2026, at 11:30 AM in the chapel of the Green Pine Funeral Home, 96281 Green Pine Rd., Yulee FL, with Dr. Shane Stutzman officiating. Viewing will be held one hour before the service at 10:30 AM. Interment will be held at 1:30 PM at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd., Jacksonville, FL.
