Alletta Everett Obituary

Alletta Jean Everett-(Patterson, Ga) passed away peacefully at her residence February 1, 2024, the morning of her 51st birthday. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida on February 1, 1973 to the late David Everett Sr. and Darlene Everett of Patterson, Ga. Known to her family by many different nicknames, Alletta came into this life a very special person, and was the epitome of love and happiness. She put a smile on the faces of everyone who came in contact with her and touched a lot of lives. She loved to give and receive hugs. She loved to make and receive phone calls, and she always had to have her pocketbook, and her babydoll, Bebe. She could usually be found somewhere near her mama just fussing at her for the fun of it. She loved to pick on and mess with her baby brother and her nieces and nephew. She enjoyed going for walks down to the creek and it didn’t matter a single bit to her that she was in a wheelchair. She was a fighter and she loved life, as she lived 50 years past what doctors predicted she ever would. “Lettie…NeNe…Aunt Sissy…Sissy…Letta Jean”...will be sadly missed in this life, but we know she is using her own two legs to run the Streets of Gold and in that we take comfort.

Alletta is preceded in death by her father David W. Everett, Sr., her step-father Edward C. Sharpe, her maternal grandparents, Arnold and Evelyn Dixon, a special Aunt Ruby “BooBoo” Dixon Pittman, and her paternal grandmother, Dorothy Agger, also a great-grandfather, Tim Fender. Alletta is survived by her loving and devoted mama, Darlene Everett, who everyday for the past 51 years was her full time caregiver and biggest advocate, her loving and devoted baby brother, protector, and advocate,David W. Everett Jr, wife, Candi of Patterson, Ga, two very special nieces,Dixie Everett and Dazie Everett both of Patterson, Ga and one very special nephew, David W. Everett lll  of Patterson, Ga., (all of whom grew up from birth with her, and loved her like a sister). She is also survived by three uncles, Lamar Dixon of Yulee, Florida, and Larry Lare, of Moosehead Lake, Maine and Daniel McLucas of Yulee, Florida. Three aunts, Pam McLucas of Yulee, Florida, Cindy Dixon, Yulee, Florida, and Regina Lee, Nazareth, Pennsylvania Special friend, Janice (James) Vail, of Patterson, Georgia, and several other cousins, relatives, and friends .A graveside service was held February 7th, 2024 at the Green Pine Funeral Home and Cemetery in Yulee, Florida.
