Shirley A. Jones

Shirley Amelia Jones of Yulee got called home on January 7th, 2020.  

She was a great and wonderful woman who was married to the late Lonnie Jay Jones for 45 years.  She born in Jacksonville Florida December 14, 1945 to Naomi A. Liddell and Noble F. Liddell.

Mrs. Jones was an extremely hard worker, loved the outdoors and her family and was always a shoulder to lean on.  She was a safe place to talk to and cooked wonderful home cooked meals.  From beach trips, fishing, and to the mountains she blessed every inch of earth she walked on and every person she spoke to.  

She was predeceased by brothers, Grayson and Jullian.

She leaves behind four brothers, Walter, Alfred, Buddy and Stanley; a sister, Jessie May; daughter, Rene Jones and Patrick; step children, Lonnie and Judy, Susan and Rick ,Cindy and Ronald ,and Marilyn and Jim; and 10 grandchildren, Shasta, Tiffany, Cray, Fred, Tabitha, Shannon, Lonnie Daniel and Mallory, Jonathon and Wendy, Yolanda, and Justin along with 14 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 10th at Green Pine Funeral Home in Yulee, Florida at 3:00 p.m.  Viewing will be at 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. She will be laid to rest to be reunited with her late husband in Green Pine Cemetery.
