Patricia Dicks Obituary
Patricia “Pattie” Jean Dicks of Yulee FL. entered eternal life July 19, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Edward C. Barron Sr. and Elsie Noland Barron. Pattie was preceded in death by her brothers Edward Barron, Jr. and Gregory Barron.
She was a devoted Christian and a faithful servant to Community Bible Study, Walk to Emmaus and loved teaching signing classes and Sunday school at Black rock Baptist Church in Yulee for many years.
Pattie is survived by her husband Robert J. Dicks, sister-in-law Sue Barron, her daughter Joy Major with husband Carl, son Dean Porter with wife Sherri and three grandchildren, Austin, Max and Samantha. Also, Robert Dicks sons Paul and Mark with wife Jean and daughter Darla Neal with husband Greg as well as four grandchildren Stacy, Alex, Austin and Suzanna.
She was a graduate of Ribault high school, Florida State University and earned graduate degrees from Jacksonville University and The University of Florida.
A memorial service conducted by Pastor John Kasper will be held Thursday July 26 at 11:00 am at Blackrock Baptist Church in Yulee FL.
In lieu of flowers please fill the church with backpacks of school supplies in honor of Pattie’s 31 years of service to Duval county public education as a teacher and administrator or monetary gifts to Blackrock Baptist Church.
