June Henry Obituary
June R. Henry passed away Friday morning, August 16, 2019 in Fernandina Beach, FL.
June was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Staten Island.
Her father was a career Sub Sailor and she married a Navy Chief. June initially worked for the telephone company and after moving to New Jersey she worked and retired as a Financial Analyst for the Department of the Army. Her heart and love was always with the military. She may have had the New York attitude but had a heart of gold.
June was a world traveler going from Abis Abba to Tibet. In addition to her love for travel she loved auctions, antiques, and buying and refurbishing houses. The last count was 24.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Richard "Dick" Henry of Fernandina Beach, FL and a brother Wilfred Baumann of New York.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 18, in the Stephens Chapel at Green Pine Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in the Garden of Remembrance Mausoleum in Green Pine Cemetery. Guest will be received from 2:30 p.m. until the time of service Sunday at the funeral home.
