Genevieve Anne Lambiase, 52, of Yulee, FL passed away Thursday, January 23, 2020 at the Community Hospice Warner Center in Fernandina Beach, FL.
Mrs. Lambiase was born in Staten Island, NY and moved to Yulee 18 months ago. Before moving to Yulee she also resided in Saint Johns, FL, Jacksonville, FL, Palm Beach, FL and in New Jersey. She was a member of Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Mission Church.
Genny Penny was a beautiful and powerful life force. She was devoted in love, friendship and faith to her “Nicky” and their son, Austin. Gen and Nicky’s love and devotion to each other was not only an inspiration, but a consistent fixture in a very large family. Genny loved music, especially the Grateful Dead. She loved Christmas. She never tired of watching Friends reruns and had an unfortunate like of reality TV. Genny was fiercely loyal to her friends, family and her faith. She spearheaded many campaigns to annoy her parents, specifically jumping on her mother’s meticulously made bed and coaxing her siblings into mischief for which they would be reprimanded and she would laugh. She was a natural caretaker and could not help but mother and love everyone around her. She will be missed in ways that cannot be expressed with words.
Gen is survived by her husband of 31 years, Nicholas Lambiase, Jr. of Yulee, FL; her son, Austin Lambiase, also of Yulee; parents, Donald and Mary Anne Tempone of Evesham, NJ; brother, Donald “DJ” Tempone of Belmar, NJ; two sisters, Cynthia Glover and husband, Kenneth of Medford Lakes, NJ and Mary Tempone and her husband, Justin Seitz of Philadelphia, PA; her father in law, Nicholas Lambiase, Sr. of East Winsor, NJ; sister in law, Kathy Lambiase Ondy and husband, Chris of Robbinsville, NJ; sister in law, Janine Tempone of Freehold, NJ; nieces and nephews, Jillian (Jamie), Brendan (Amanda), Liam, Donald, Abigail, C. J. and Lily, and an ever expanding group of great nieces and nephews. Also survived by chosen family and beloved friends, Jenna, Tina, Rob, Lori (Sunshinebelle), Jeff, Jackie and the Kline family, Kelly, Ezra, and all the Norman clan, the thousands of friends that are too many to list, Cousins Danny and Paul, Aunts and Uncles and way too many more family members to possibly list. Wonderfully loving Northbrook friends and neighbors, along with our St. Francis of Assisi family; and Terry and Lynn Christly.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 25, at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Mission Church in Yulee with Father Rafal Mazurowshi, celebrant.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to either Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Mission Church (https://stfrancisyulee.com/) or Community Hospice and Palliative Care (https://www.communityhospice.com/).
